These four ladies are amazing. Words can not express how thankful I am to have them in my life. I have been going through a somewhat painful journey lately, and as true as true friends can be - they came to my rescue. Together with Justin they planned an evening out, and I was more than thrilled to be taken captive by these great friends. Lizzie, we missed you - and to the rest of you… thank you, I love each of you dearly. We didn’t get any photos last night, but pulled out of the depths of the computer archives… my fabulous friends.

I love how he smells after Justin has been holding him.
I love how his forehead still gets wrinkly when he is looking up at me.
I love how content he is to lay on the bed with his big brother.
I love how he is finally getting some chunk to him.
I love how he still gets scrunchy when you pick him up.
I love that his first smile was directed at Dannyboy.
[ Luke, 6 weeks old.]

This was our excitement for the morning, a fancy-shmancy dinosaur picnic. Two Cera’s, one Spike, and an Uncle Toranno all joined us on the floor to enjoy bugs, box crackers, and a plum (according to Danny). The imagination of a three year old never ceases to amaze me, oh how I love him so.

Let me first say I have been blessed with a love for reading passed down from my dear grandmother, to my own mom and now to me. We pass books between the three of us, recommending this, not recommending that. We have been known to start and finish a book in a mere day. If you too have the enchanting ability to get lost in a good book, you know what I mean when I say there is something about being so caught up in a story it is all you think about for weeks, sometimes months.
I first discovered Nicholas Sparks when I opened the pages of The Notebook during a workout at the gym. Lets just say that is the longest I have ever been known to stay on an elliptical. I wonder what everyone else thought as I sweated through the tears, unable to choke back the emotion I felt as this love story came to a close. Oh, I remember it like it was just yesterday. I found myself obsessively searching for each of his collection of (then) twelve books. Slowly but surely I was able to complete that search and I now proudly display them on a shelf in our living room. No question about it, he simply has a way of writing beautiful and timeless masterpieces over. and over. and over again.
Imagine my excitement when I popped onto his website the other day to see that not only does he have a new book coming out, The Lucky One, (due to be released September 30) BUT one of my favorites of his, Nights in Rodanthe is finally due in theaters September 26! Oh I absolutely can not wait! So here is to another fall - filled with cooler weather, yummy smells of the season, and N. Sparks. Cheers!
After much hard work and many late nights, I am pleased to present my new and improved website!

[ S ] Shalina did an amazing job, thank you friend! If anyone is looking for a web designer or you know someone who is, she is available and so incredibly talented.
With that being said, I am now officially off of maternity leave and am booking sessions for fall & winter. SO excited!
So far today, Danny…
1. was caught peeing (yes peeing) outside. When asked why, he stated “because that’s what Rocky does”.
2. made a trail of popcorn from our bedroom to the bathroom. Apparently Rocky was hungry…
and
3. covered Luke’s papasan chair with red fruit punch. Why, you ask? “Rocky needed a bath”.
Am I the only one who sees a trend here? Can you say - blameshifter?
Ah photography I have MISSED YOU! It has been a long few months of maternity leave and I am preparing to head back into “work” full steam ahead. Can’t wait! My website is currently “under construction” so to speak - as I am updating some basic info, pricing and adding new photos and galleries. Lots of fun stuff. I will announce the completion soon, I hope.
In the mean time, those of you who have contacted me about booking sessions this fall I promise to get back to you ASAP - thanks for your understanding : ) … and because a post is rarely complete without a photo …

That’s right. I did *not* take this photo. My totally talented
and yummy husband did. I’m so impressed baby! : )
Our little monkey is a month old today, sniff sniff.
We just love him to pieces and are so blessed and thankful that he is apart of our family.

Today my baby is 1 month old! (a post on that to come later on today) However, I couldn’t pass up posting this one real quick. Talk about difficult trying to get such a squirmy little guy in this giant tea cup, but I did my best : )
