Us three.

As I sit here, “resting” I can not help but reflect upon things important to me. Obviously my faith, my husband and son(s), my passions. Today however, some friends brought up a topic that made my mind turn immediately towards my sisters. I can not say enough about the bond that is between us, and hope that my boys will someday share their own sense of strength from one another - all be it a different kind.

Sadie and Abby both came into my life as my sisters, if by blood or by choice. Each of them has brought something to our family that is priceless and without measure. It has been years since we have shared the same roof, yet I admire and love each of them for the adversities they have and are overcoming. They are both beautiful, loving and oh so funny. I think back to our vacation last summer to Florida - oh my gosh we had fun. Five of us doing yoga in a cramped space, Sadie’s white “bikini”, Abby’s never ending back rubs. The drive down, oh how lovely, all the songs about AM, the three of us in one bed. The scent of coconut fills the air and I am taken back there, to those moments, our first family vacation in many, many years. These girls are my heart and sole. They bring so much to my life and I can not wait to see who they become as adults.
