As a child I grew up listening to the beautiful hymns sung in tiny churches in middle-of-nowhere mid west towns. I have pleasant memories of these songs that lead all the way through to hearing the tired and broken hearted homeless of the inner-city singing behind and all around me. There are countless favorites tucked away in my memory banks, but as I deal with some severely hurtful personal issues this week, I am drawn to the lyrics of this song. I thought I came across it by accident, however I know the Lord brought me to it - It is Well, sung by an Irish Celtic worship band. I have listened to it over. And over. And over.
When peace like a river, attendeth my way,

On a similar note, these two guys make me smile - even on the days I feel I can not muster one. Danny and I were able to head out to watch daddy & Papa play softball last night. I absolutely love these photos. They definitely brought a smile to my face today.
