
I learned to crochet, Christmas 2005. Since I have created mounds of scarves, and one very awkward looking blanket for a friend’s Christmas gift one year. I have been waiting for, I’m not sure what exactly, I guess the right moment - to start a blanket for my precious unborn son. Today was that day. With tummies full of pizza, Danny and I ventured out to the fabric store in search of the perfect yarn. Turns out there is a new all natural line by Bernat. Danny and I went with a Bamboo blend. It is oh, so soft and creamy as can be. Can’t wait to get started… stay tuned for updates on my newest project, baby Luke’s blanket.
This morning Justin was home for a bit, and as usual, went out to turn on the sprinklers. Danny jumped at an opportunity to get messy and out the door he went. He was busy making “paw prints” (foot prints) and splashing around. Too cute. Oh, and I may have even snuck a photo of my anti-camera, yet oh-so-handsome husband. Love you baby : )



Some days are so laid back, Danny and I stay in our pjs for hours. Others are go, go, go - with barely any down time. When Dannyboy goes down for his nap, it’s as if the angels are singing. It is MY time, and I cherish it so… especially knowing I have only a few more months of this blissful 2-3 hour period. Channel 856 is my calm amidst some stormy days. I turn it on, no one asking for Diego or Backyardigans - no one flipping between ESPN and Comedy Central. As much as I love the two (three) guys in my life, there really isn’t anything better than the soothing sounds of channel 856. I can scrap to it, edit to it, read peacefully with it playing in the background. I hope you too have a “channel”, some sort of escape from the business of your day. The littlest things in life are what truly make a difference. I leave you with this quote I happened upon recently.

Over the weekend, I met up with Ethan and his family for a sunset shoot. He is such a boy, I loved playing with him and seeing what I’m in for in the coming year as he is a big ole four year old now! Here is a glimpse into our evening.





As promised, a few more of the newly four-year-old Chappie and his pal Roxie. We had a lovely day together, and I just love his mama to pieces. Thanks for lunch friend!

It seems we have an artist in the house. After about 15 minutes of quiet, intent work, Danny proudly exclaimed that he was finished. I looked over at his table to find this.

I couldn’t help but chuckle, and Danny’s face shown with pride as I pulled out my camera. I think my favorite would be Baby Luke, who somewhat resembles a snail : ) Have a blessed day everyone!
Danny’s dear friend Chappie turned four this past Friday and we all celebrated Saturday with an adventure to the Clayton Fire station! Here is a little glimpse into the day, a bit of a preview for his lovely mama, Jaime. More to come of Chappie, his fur-sister Roxie, and our other good friends the Heyer girls later this week - can’t wait! : )

Happy Easter! It is a beautiful day here as we are reminded of why we celebrate this precious holiday. Who says little boys can’t look “cute” on Easter? I have resigned myself to the fact that I’ll probably never get to by a frilly little Easter dress - but I certainly can be sure my boy(s) look adorable : ) Hope everyone is having a lovely day!
As a child I grew up listening to the beautiful hymns sung in tiny churches in middle-of-nowhere mid west towns. I have pleasant memories of these songs that lead all the way through to hearing the tired and broken hearted homeless of the inner-city singing behind and all around me. There are countless favorites tucked away in my memory banks, but as I deal with some severely hurtful personal issues this week, I am drawn to the lyrics of this song. I thought I came across it by accident, however I know the Lord brought me to it - It is Well, sung by an Irish Celtic worship band. I have listened to it over. And over. And over.

On a similar note, these two guys make me smile - even on the days I feel I can not muster one. Danny and I were able to head out to watch daddy & Papa play softball last night. I absolutely love these photos. They definitely brought a smile to my face today.


Isn’t she wonderful… Ok, ok I’ll stop. I just love that song, and this friend is pretty amazing too. Here are my three favorites from a fun session shooting in RAW yesterday. I have to say, I’ll never go back. Oh and, notice anything new? Yes, that would be my new logo. Love it.
