Santa (ahem…
my adorable
husband) brought
me the absolute
greatest gift this
year. A sleek,
beautiful, and
oh-so-sexy Nikon
D40 digital SLR.
I can’t say enough
about this camera,
and I haven’t even
begun to touch the
surface of ‘her’
capabilities. Poor
Danny constantly
has a lense in his
face, but I just
can’t seem to get
enough. “Santa”
sure was good
to me this year.

Today marks a significant day for us as a family. It has been three years since
our Mt Diablo/ John Muir/ Children’s Hospital ER visits… rather than recount
the emotions from that day I will simply say the Lord is SO faithful and truly does
miraculous things for those who trust in Him. It has been three years now, and not
a day goes by that I don’t thank the Lord for our sweet little boy and his health.

Happy Holidays! I trust everyone has survived the holiday season ‘07 and are happily gearing up for the new year. We had a lovely Christmas at home. Danny woke with much anticipation, as he realized Santa HAD indeed come and eaten the cookies and milk we left for him. He was elated to get his much desired train set and big boy bicycle. We spent the day with Grandma, Papa and the rest of the family… enjoying lots of good food and time together. The holidays are an especially hard time - as Nana, Pa, Auntie Sadie, Auntie ByBy and Uncle Joel are so far away, but we hope to get them out here next Christmas! This has been quite a lively Christmas for our little boy, and he is now devasted that we can no longer listen to “Chipmunk La La”, though much to mommy’s delight. Now it is on to a new year, with new joys and adventures that lay ahead!
Danny had a fabulous time over the weekend baking and decorating Christmas
cookies with Grandma. Together they cut out shapes and Danny ooo-ed and aww-ed as he peaked in the oven. He was thrilled to frost the baked cookies and loved pouring mounds of “colors” atop them. It was truly precious to watch, I know this is something
he will look forward to doing each year with his wonderful grandma.

… Danny’s “baby bear” (as he likes to call it).

Yes! We are pregnant and thrilled! We had our first ultrasound today and were ecstatic to see a healthy baby and beautiful heartbeat! Our little one measured a bit ahead of schedule to which Justin proudly says “that’s my boy”. We are so thankful that the Lord has blessed us with this precious little life and look forward to meeting it come July!
Every day my precious little boy asks me to “dancin” with him. Lately I’m not a huge fan of jumping around the house, but I can’t help but oblige when those big brown eyes are staring up at me. When our hands meet, the cares of the moment melt away and for a few magical moments… we are enjoying the innocence of “dancin”.
In the beautiful words of Tim McGraw we were… Dancin’ when the stars go blue.

Dear sweet Danny,
Three years. I can hardly believe it has been three years that you’ve been apart of our lives. We have been truly blessed with you, and utterly astounded by the amount of love and laughter you have brought into our lives. In just three short years you have more than quadrupled in weight, but have grown leaps and bounds in our hearts. Thank you for giving us so much to love.
You are our sunshine, our only sunshine. You make us happy when skies are gray. You’ll never know Danny, how much we love you. Please don’t take our sunshine away.
Hugs and kisses,
Mama & Daddy
