go daddy go!

Image and video hosting by TinyPicLast night Danny & I excitedly joined daddy for an early softball game. The team he is playing with this fall is in Alameda and the games have been too late for us to attend. As we woke Danny from his nap and told him of our upcoming adventure, his face lit up. He absolutely loves going to watch daddy play “boftball”. It was a perfect early fall evening, not too much chill and barely any wind. We sat with just the perfect view of daddy pitching and Danny eagerly cheered him on every time he was up to bat screaming “Go daddy go!” As I sat there on the cement, watching my husband completely and totally in his element - my heart was filled with joy. Maybe it was the sense of fall, the chill that enabled me to wear my warm, puffy vest. Maybe it was that I had been cooped up in the house all day, or maybe it was just how cute and squishy Danny was in his sweats. Ultimately I think it was just being so content in that moment that nothing else in the world mattered.

First of all, those picture… Danny looks way too old! Scary. (You look cute, as always.)

And second of all, you are such a good writer! I love the way you put your emotions in to words. AND I LOVE THE SENTENCE ABOUT SQUISHY DANNY! Hahahah
