a chill in the air.

by Angie on September 7, 2007

Image and video hosting by TinyPicSo I awoke this morning to find a chill in the air. You can imagine my excitement. I hurried to throw on a sweatshirt, and get Danny dressed as well. We were heading out to Starbucks. Yes, today September 7, 2007 - I am enjoying my first hot Starbucks of the season. The sweet, melodic sound of Sarah M’s Christmas album played in the background as Danny & I sat in line at the drive-through. My mind began to wander to Holidays past… my excitement during our first year of marriage as we embarked on a journey back to Delaware to spend it with my family. Then our second Holiday season as husband and wife, was spent anxiously awaiting the arrival of our little Danny boy. He was the cutest little bundle of greens and reds that first Christmas. Of course I think then to the following year, December brought lots of time with family and friends, and even an answer to a long awaited prayer. Why then, I wonder, do we only celebrate that warm and fuzzy feeling come the end of Thanksgiving? I certainly refuse to this year. Fall and Winter are my absolute beloved of all times of year. Regardless of the fact that in a few mere hours the temperature will spike an astonishing 30 degrees - in this moment, at this hour, my little boy & I are in sweatshirts cuddling with our coffee & mini scones… relishing in the early morning chill.

My bff is quite possibly the cutest ever! I am in full agreement that it is time to start the celebration of the best holiday ever. My co-workers though, are not always in agreement when i’m playing christmas music in the summertime. Thats ok…whatever helps to keep me motivated to work ;) LOVE YOU.
